mail@straightarrowbison.com http://www.straightarrowbison.com 308-870-3537 The Straight Arrow Bison Ranch, located in Broken Bow, NE, is owned and operated by Marty and Karen Bredthauer. From the beginning, in 1994, they have been marketing direct to consumers in Nebraska and online. The bison are raised completely on grass with the only supplemental feed being grass hay when the pastures are not sufficient. The herd is allowed to live and reproduce naturally with no vaccinations, antibiotics or other medications. All cows, bulls, and offspring are allowed to live together year-round. Herd health is maintained through mineral availability and apple cider vinegar to maintain good digestion. Meat harvest is accomplished through field harvest and on-farm butchering so there is no stress in rounding up, sorting, or shipping animals. The meat is cut and wrapped at Custom Pack in Hastings, NE, then returned to the ranch for storage and distribution.
The ranch has a log cabin trailer which serves as a mobile store. This trailer travels to Grand Island, Kearney, North Platte, and McCook, NE on a regular schedule for sales in those locations. The rest of the time it is parked at the ranch 5 miles south of Broken Bow and is open whenever someone is available at the ranch. (Call first, 308-870-3537)
In addition to frozen meat, bone broth and freeze-dried organ meats for dogs are available along with a limited number of hides and skulls.
Certified grass-fed and Animal Welfare Approved by A Greener World.
