Harper Cattle L.L.C.  Sponsorship Demonstrates Growing Role of Bison in Ag Sector

Westminster, CO (December 19, 2016) - In a demonstration of the growing importance of the bison business in the agricultural sector, the International Bison Conference planning committee this week announced that Harper Cattle  L.L.C. of Arlington, TX will serve as the Presenting Sponsor for the 2017 event, scheduled for July 4-8, 2017 in Big Sky MT.

The International Bison Conference is a once every five-year event that brings together the leadership of the bison community from the United States, Canada, and from several overseas countries. The last IBC held in the United States was conducted in the Black Hills of South Dakota in 2007.

The 2017 IBC will include three days of presentations and workshops on topics ranging from Bison in a Changing Climate, to Getting Your Start in the Bison Business. The anticipated 600 attendees will also enjoy a host of recreational activities, evening entertainment and networking opportunities.

"The International Bison Conference will bring together ranchers, marketers and bison enthusiasts to celebrate our growth over the past decade, and to explore the opportunities to continue to build the bison marketplace," said Aaron Paulson, chair of the IBC Committee. "The willingness of Harper Cattle Co. to serve as the presenting sponsor of the IBC reflects that bison ranching and marketing represents an opportunity for cattle ranchers and other livestock producers."

The support of Harper Cattle, L.L.C. and our other sponsors is helping us develop a world-class program for the upcoming IBC," Paulson added.
