Introducing BUFF OR BLUFF, the National Bison Association’s new promotional campaign to bring bison to the center of the conversation, as well as the center of the plate, this Earth Day.
Here’s how it works:
We’ve created a deck of 46 BUFF OR BLUFF cards with questions and answers designed to let people know about all of the ways bison are helping to regenerate healthy grassland ecosystems. Beginning March 4th, these cards, along with “instructions” will be available to NBA marketers— large and small—for $2.00 a set plus S&H (with the cost being subsidized by the NBA Growth Fund).
Here’s the plan:
• Distribute the BUFF OR BLUFF playing set to your customers.
• Include with each set an appropriate prize (e.g., a discount coupon on their next purchase, or a special offer on ranch tours or agritourism events).
• Encourage people to host an Earth Day Dinner featuring bison as the entrée, but including as many locally-sourced and regeneratively grown side dishes as possible.
• Then, play a round of BUFF OR BLUFF, with the winner able to claim the prize offered by the marketer.
(BTW, BUFF OR BLUFF is being launched for Earth Day, but can be used throughout the year to engage your customers in being partners in bison restoration).
